Clorofast is not one product in three colours. Each of the three is made for a different job, and buying the right one matters more than buying more of the wrong one. All three are supplied in 1 litre bottles.
| Variant | What it is for | Typical use | Size |
|---|---|---|---|
| Clorofast White | Disinfectant cleaner | Bathrooms, sanitary areas, sinks | 1 L |
| Clorofast Colours | Colour-safe cleaner | Where a whitening product would damage colour | 1 L |
| Clorofast Multi-Purpose | General surface cleaner | Floors, bathrooms, hard surfaces | 1 L |
Sweep or vacuum first — mopping a floor with crumbs and dust on it spreads dirt rather than removing it. Then dilute Clorofast Multi-Purpose in a bucket of water as directed on the label, and work from the far corner of the room towards the door so you do not walk over what you have just mopped.
Bathrooms are where disinfecting genuinely earns its place. Clean the surface first, rinse, then apply the disinfectant — grease and soap residue sitting between the product and the surface weakens the result. Open the window or run the extractor before you start; a small bathroom concentrates fumes quickly.
The kitchen sink and the board used for raw meat are the two places in a kitchen where disinfecting after cleaning is worth the step. Rinse thoroughly afterwards on any surface that touches food.
Clorofast Colours exists for the situations where a whitening product would do damage. Test on a small hidden area first on anything you have not cleaned with it before.
Clorofast is the cleaning and disinfection range. Una covers dishwashing, air freshening, fabric softening, sanitising and glass cleaning. Al-Amin is the 10 litre economy range for commercial buyers. All three are manufactured by Bio Chemicals at its factory in Block 144, Second Industrial Zone, 6th of October City, Giza.
If you are not sure whether you need a cleaner or a disinfectant at all, the difference is explained in this guide. Clorofast is stocked by Metro Markets, Kheir Zaman, Kazyon, Awlad Ragab and ABA Market — see where to buy.
What people ask about the three variants
Clorofast White is the disinfectant variant, which typically suits bathrooms and sanitary areas. Colours is the colour-safe variant, for use where a whitening product would damage colour. Multi-Purpose is the general surface cleaner for floors and bathrooms. All three come in 1 litre bottles.
All three Clorofast variants — White, Colours and Multi-Purpose — are supplied in 1 litre bottles. For larger volumes, Bio Chemicals produces Al-Amin white chlorine in 10 litre jerricans for commercial and economy use.
No. Clorofast should never be mixed with any other cleaning product, and especially not with an acidic cleaner such as a descaler or toilet acid, because the combination releases dangerous gas. Dilute it with water only.
For floor cleaning, dilute in a bucket of water as directed on the bottle label. A stronger mix does not clean or disinfect better — it only produces more fumes. Ventilate the room while you work.
Clorofast Multi-Purpose is the variant made for floors and bathrooms. Sweep or vacuum before mopping, because mopping over crumbs and dust spreads dirt rather than removing it.
Clorofast is manufactured by Bio Chemicals, an Egyptian company founded in 2025, at its factory in Block 144, Second Industrial Zone, 6th of October City, Giza — the same facility that produces the Una and Al-Amin ranges.
Clorofast is supplied to Egyptian supermarket chains including Metro Markets, Kheir Zaman, Kazyon, Awlad Ragab and ABA Market, and is available online through Jumia Egypt.
Store Clorofast closed, upright and out of reach of children, never decant it into a water bottle, and keep children out of the room while you disinfect until you have finished and aired it.
